Flipping the Script: How Instructional Videos Will Revolutionize My Career

As a student in FGCU's educational technology master's program, I've discovered the value of employing instructional films in the classroom and in the construction of innovative educational environments. Students can have a more immersive and engaging learning experience with the use of instructional films. This can easily increase learner engagement and knowledge retention. There are two potential applications of instructional video in my future work as a teacher, trainer, and designer.

Flipped classroom activities are the first thing I want to make using instructional videos with my pupils. The term "flipped classroom" describes an approach to education in which students are given reading or viewing assignments outside of class in order to prepare for classroom time spent on activities, discussions, and collaborative learning. My current and future learners will have access to high-quality, interesting knowledge at their own pace and convenience thanks to my instructional films.

The second method I intend to utilize for how-to films is the creation of training programs. I still have a project I am securing by creating an online e-course for a theatrical platform. As an instructional designer, I am able to produce instructional movies for a new generation of actors and technicians that serve to reinforce learning, clarify concepts, and show processes. I can serve more students at one time, boost engagement and enthusiasm, and enhance learning outcomes by showing them how to do things through videos. I can ultimately utilize video analytics to evaluate the success of my courses, pinpoint areas for development, and adapt my materials to the unique requirements of each course.

Educators, trainers, and designers can all benefit from the use of instructional videos because of their potential to help them produce more dynamic and fruitful lessons for their learners and potential clients. With the use of instructional videos, I can better serve my students and clients, give them more tailored and interactive information, and enrich their learning experience as a whole.
